Organic Health

Our livers do a great job of detoxifying our bodies from many harmful chemicals & toxins we ingest – but we should also choose a natural/organic diet & lifestyle as best we can, to help our bodies function as they were meant to. Full of life, energy & joy.

By using natural & organic products on our body, we are doing the same thing but more so! As toxins absorbed through the skin have a 60% higher chance of being absorbed & building up within us. This is a scary thought, have you read the back of some of your skincare products lately?!

My Findings

Even in my research to find a natural preservative (besides using Vitamin E & microbial-targeting essential oils) I came up short. Many preservatives & additives can fall under the “natural” category but sadly most have a negative draw back for the skin or body. So I decided to leave them out completely & work around the problem but leaving water out of the formulas & relying on certified organic oils & butters (meaning not just pesticide & GMO free but responsibly grown & harvested, cruelty free & without additives- which is great for you & your skin but also for the environment).

Harmful agents

Some of the bad stuff: most of the widely used non-organic & synthetic ingredients in our fragrances, cream, lotions, shampoo & deodorant do provide quick results on the surface but can cause harm over time & may even increase the very issues they were designed to help, there have also been links found to: irritation & rashes, hormonal imbalances, organ toxicity & certain cancers.

Back to the good stuff: Organic products are natural, non- allergenic (except when dealing with an intense nut allergy ie: sweet almond oil), are full of antioxidant vitamins & real nutritional benefits.  Natural & organic products do work a little slower but are gentler than their synthetic counterparts & can offer the same benefits & more over time– to smooth, hydrate, balance, restore, clarify &   deeply nourish.

No one does it better than mother nature.
